Poem
Hey guys….
This is a poem that I just thought of writing…. And I'm making it up as I go so I have no idea how bad it’s going to be…but here we go.
Lost In You
There’s something about you
When you look at me like you do, I feel so helpless
I feel like I would give anything to have you
And more to hold you
To know what you think and what you feel
To be able to have something real
So I sit here and wonder
What it would be like
My heart is weak just thinking about you
And I shake whenever you’re near
I cry myself to sleep
Wishing you were here
I try to find the right words to say
I sound like such a fool
I manage to get the words out of my mouth
You hug me gently, and I pray you’ll never let go
But you do
There’s that one moment though….
When our eyes connect across the room
When I realize how beautiful they are...
Everyone else disappears
And I forget why I'm there
For just a moment, I'm lost in you
You turn around
And reality slaps me hard in the face
And tears sting my eyes
I know that we could never be
You and me
So I choke them back
And close my eyes down hard
I lean on the wall
And hope I can disappear
But I know that you’re near
Before we say good-bye
You can’t tell that I want to cry
I wait for you to stop talking to them
You turn to me and see that I'm there
I say I have to go, and you hug me tight
For just a second everything’s alright
Every time there’s that one second that
I get…

There’s something about you
