Yesterday Flora and I watched the first of our Hitchcock movies - The Lodger. It led to tons of great discussions not only about the film itself, but about Jack the Ripper, fashion and hairstyles in the 20s, why they had to put coins into a little box when the lights went out, the way acting styles have changed over the years. She really enjoyed the film, it was probably the best silent movie I've seen, personally.

We read a lot of Uncle Tom's Cabin and then she did a crossword puzzle on Frederick Douglass.

It was a pretty quiet day. She watched a lot of Futurama and drew pictures.
