2008...
i've been seeing a few notes and entries about the past year and its made me think back on my year, which went by fast and slow... i can't even remember what i did last new years.
graduated from culinary school. i would have liked school to be a little longer personally, but it was still a great experience and met some cool people.
spent much time and wasted money hopelessly trying to get a paid internship in England :[
lived in SF for 3 weeks, interned for a bakery where they called me Brenda for a good 2 days, was kinda chased by some crazy person... (well not kinda, we were chased), got offered a job, but had to turn it down, went to a Christian church for the first time which was interesting.
discovered Twilight and its world of vampires and werewolves(thanks for that tonya :P)
did not work or go to school for about 5 months and did nothing but hang out with friends. good times guys... good times...
saw paramore, jack's mannequin and jimmy eat world in concert. if only Jim threw his guitar to the crowd... i was in the perfect place to catch it!
went to hawaii! and had, what kat would say, a tryst with some guy from arkansas. it was also the first time i was on a plane for more than an hour... and it sucked. haha
went to Knotts Berry Farm with the TE and ACTUALLY went on the rides and liked it! derek screamed at people walking while we were on Jaguar and scream for arthur AND hear kat scream "OH FUCK!!! WE'RE GONNA DIE!!! OH SHIT!!!!" (or something of that nature) while we were on Silver Bullet and spin wildly out of control on Sierra Sidewinder.... that was awesome!
road tripped with tonya and kat to Cal Poly SLO. danced to "stop" by the spice girls, "baby got back" and "bohemian rhapsody" in the car along with other songs.
traveled to el dorado for Wendy's. we should road trip again u guys, that was fun.
got to spend some time with Aisa which is always fun and character building? i think that's the best way to describe it...
had to babysit my younger cousin for a week.... that was....interesting...
moved to vegas and got a job. yay money!
dressed like a supermodel and went to dinner with some pirates, witches, a doctor, a mormon, some friends, and uh... whatever tonya was :D
watched a lot of soccer matches, mainly on tv.
discovered the wonderful music of Jason Mraz.
went to some tennis clinics.
did so many other things, but this is getting super long (HA! that's what she said) All in all, a good year i'd say. :]
though i'm doing good in vegas, i still miss everyone in Cali, A LOT! i'll try to visit as much as i can (meaning as much work will let me) :[
