This is one of the most eye-opening, yet hilarious, things I think I have seen in a long time... though I don't completely agree with the racism bit. Kanye West uses his oppurtunity to help Katrina victims to also open people's eyes to Bush. Though at the end, I would've changed my words from "...about black people" to "...about the poor". Cause ( Read more... )

Okies, that makes me feel a bit better. I feel like I can't even air my mostly conservative views without offending someone anymore. But with that being said, Amber will even tell you, I'm the most liberal conservative. I'm a fence sitter that tends to lean to the right, and mostly my views do coiencide with Republicans (which is why I am actually registered Republican), I'm far from one of those hardcore conservatives that believe abortions should be outlawed and banning cival unions (though i believe the coined term marriage should remain between one man and one woman). I definately will listen to what anyone has to say, and dare I say humor the idea of believing it, or what have you, but I have been around so many liberals in my recent years that have completely shut me off to democrats almost entirely. The one that stands in my mind is the one who said "In two weeks I'll have you driving around with a Kerry bumpersticker on your car." The hell I will. I don't stand for almost anything that man said he stood for - then was against the next week - then stood for again =)

Okay so that was my rant about why I get so defensive around democrats.

But on the West thing, I heard many people called in and repealed their donation after he said what he did. That is terrible, that they were ultimately taking it out on the people who are homeless, hungry, and have no inkling of what was said...but it just goes to show you the influence of celebrities. Sad.

Talk to you later - Tumpskin

I didn't know people were doing that.... and if they did, that is terrible. I think that is horrible judgement on their part though. Not being able to distinguish between what happened with Kanye and what happened in New Orleans.

By the way, I will openly admit that Kerry wasn't exactly my top choice for President back in the day... he just wasn't Bush. And I know you like Bush and what not, but I just don't like the guy. I've never been a big church person, and since he likes to throw Christian beliefs into the American governing ways, I think he is selfish for that. This isn't a Christian country. Even if the majority is Christian, based on the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence, we are not. That is the beauty of this country, and I think we need to keep church and state seperated.

BUT... people have different motives and desires, and if yours match up with Bush's agendas, than so be it. That is your choice as a citizen, as it is mine, and everyone else who is a legal American.

PS- I hate political bumperstickers PERIOD... since when were you driving down the road, see a political bumpersticker, and say to yourself "OH man! I never thought about voting for him!!" lol I will never put one on my car. (Plus, they get outdated pretty quickly... hahaha)

Talk to ya soon, yo.
