The ATTIC is offering a "PAY WHAT YOU CAN PREVIEW" for the West coast premiere of Flight on Friday, Feb. 6th. There is a $5 minimum. Show starts at 8 PM. Reservation number below.

Celebrities. We build them up, we tear them down. Everybody loves a train wreck, everybody loves a comeback. The timeless theme of media and public fascination with celebrity is explored in FLIGHT, Garth Wingfield's play based on the life of Charles Lindbergh will have its west coast premiere in February 2009 at the Attic Theatre in Culver City.

Originally produced Off Broadway by the Melting Pot Theatre Company in 2005 and starred Kerry O'Malley, Gregg Edelman and Brian D'Arcy James, FLIGHT navigates through the life and times of Charles Lindbergh as he became the first person to fly solo nonstop from New York to Paris in 1927 thrusting Lindbergh into the public eye, catapulting him to superstardom, turning him into THE American idol of his time. In 1932, Lindbergh and his wife, Anne, once again became the center of the world's attention when their infant son was kidnapped from their New Jersey home and later found dead. The coverage of the trials and tribulations surrounding the abduction is now regarded as the first media circus, as the public clamored to know every detail. Years later, opinion of Lindbergh soured when he made approving remarks about Adolph Hitler, once again providing fodder for public scrutiny, fueled by media frenzy.

"A well crafted play...a showcase of ideas that should be heard" - The New Yorker

"Fascinating...Covers its subject skillfully and honestly, carefully balancing the pros and cons of this complex figure" - The Village Voice

"Harrowing...A cautionary bio-drama about the perils of fame in America....the best kind of theatre... the kind with a heart" - Variety
