Friday night. Sitting in my apartment (back in the city, Finally!) waiting for my roommate and our friend Eve to get back from Connecticut so the Kylie Weekend of Madness can begin. (We're seeing her on both Monday and Tuesday.)
My activities for the evening included my first attempt at making my great-grandmother's famous mac and cheese. No one besides my self has tried any yet so I can't confirm, but I thought it was pretty good.
Anyway now the things you all actually care about. Watched Game of Thrones and Fringe just now.
Game of Thrones:
- I still like the title sequence, I don't care what the haters say.
- Tyrion was a lot more like how I remembered him from the books in this episode. But I'm still not sold on the accent.
- Joffrey, what the fuck is up with those eyes!? They're almost clear. Also is he a long lost British Carter brother no one knew about?
- Jon Snow made me tear up at least three times in this episode. Especially when he was saying goodbye to Bran. Kit Harrington and I are becoming fast friends.
- Arya and Jon are my favs and I LOVED that scene with Needle between the two of them.
- Arya's my favorite 8 year old badass. I love that girl.
- I need more direwolves people. Though my cat might not agree.
- Sansa always pissed me off in the books and she continues to do just that on the show. I haven't read far enough to know if she lives but every time she's in danger I root for her death.
- As for across the Narrow Sea I honestly don't care. I never did in the books and I don't now. Though I think I may be scarred for life from seeing Jason Mamoa's ass. Not a pretty sight.
Fringe:
- I really thought Peter was in a dream for a moment. As it turns out he kind of was.
- Not really surprised that Olivia is involved with the machine somehow, or that as soon as she was back with Peter the typewriter started to work.
- The whole Sam Weiss thing fascinates me. I'm still not completely sold he's on our side.
- Flashbacks were interesting. I wonder how significant they are.
- Like the previous episode this one also felt like a lot of set up, but after the last couple minutes and the promo for next week I know we're all in for a crazy AWESOME ride next week. My whole brain is screaming WHAT!? I love it.
Last, but definitely not least...Look what was waiting for me when I came home yesterday:
ALL MY RECORD STORE DREAMS HAVE FINALLY COME TRUE!
