Weekend Update, Birthday Edition
I'm getting very bad at this weekend updating thing. Regularly anyway.
Last week, went hiking with Melissa on Sunday. It was really good! We went to Pyramid Mountain up around Boonton. We tried to follow the map of this seemingly easy trail, but we got totally turned around and actually ran into the head volunteer who makes the trails! Was kinda weird though coming upon an elderly man with a machete... But he turned out to be the perfect person to run into cause he lead us out back to the visitors center! Awesome.
This week was birthday festivities. Started Friday with Jackie bringing mini cupcakes and a veggie platter--a reasonable mini celebration at work. Friday, got home then was off shopping. Did food prep till 1 in the morning, then conked out. Woke up around 7:30 to my mom watering the front yard, then got up to finish prep, then went off to my sis's. People didn't come until about 3, but it was fine cause once someone got there, people started coming. It was so nice to see people I don't see too often. And we had plenty of food and everyone seemed pretty well satisfied. The rain held off until 10 that night, thank goodness! Sunday was pretty lazy. Went to my sis's so that I can get measured again for my dress for my brother's wedding in August (the dress they sent did not fit me at all!), then went back home, did some laundry, was lazy some more, and then settled down for some tv: the end of Prisoner of Azkaban, the beginning of Goblet of Fire, True Blood, and Hung. Now to sleep. Despite being lazy, I find myself inexplicably tired!
