sometimes there is no place i would rather be than on a soccer field in the middle of the night with some of the most amazing people i know.

and sometimes there is no place i would rather be than under a blanket fort, making up one liners and acting like little kids.

either way, it feels pretty good.

"It was clear Jim was thinking about something, possibly something he had forgot, or had just forgotten to remember. There is a blue sky and the viewer of it, which is assumed to be Jim, has his hands covering most of his vision. The sky is a wonderfuly peculiar blue. A color which Jim would later use to describe the shade of blue the filled Nora's eyes. Jim tried remembering further back, you could tell, because he then closed his eyes. Nora was leading him, by the tips of thier fingers, out on to the field of an elementary school. He thought maybe they had been walking over to the bleachers, or the swing set. It was in mid-stride that Nora sat down. Jim quickly realized that this is where she wanted to be all along. Jim sat down next to Nora, then layed his head back on to the cool, accepting grass. The memory that Jim was chasing began again, with him covering his face. The blue eye colored sky is in view, and through the breaks in his fingers he can see Nora’s hair being blown gently by the wind. Her face can be seen through the gaps, the portions of his face he was unable to cover. She would kiss him and smile, and he was only able to feel shame. "Jim, why are you covering your face?" Nora asked, “Please let me see you eyes, I like them."
“I’m sorry. Its just the way I am” Jim replied. Its silent again, and Jim can only see Nora’s hair through his fingers. He already missed her blue sky colored eyes. He remembers how badly he wanted to smile. To reply Nora's smile. A familiar smile, a genuine smile that she will know means he is happy." - from "Sunlit Face, A Hand-Me-Down"
