It's do damn hot here! Aaaaahhhhhhhhh! The sun is really out to get me. The weather sucks. Two days ago it was 88 and the humidity was 97%, and that was only 6:30 in the morning. Yesterday felt so long. I had to level out a ton of dirt. Really, a TON. I have never seen so many bags of soil in my life. The stack was about 10 feet tall and at least 15 wide. It took 12 hours, but thats the life of a seabee for you. Everyday I learn some thing new. For example, last night I learned that I only make 65 cents an hour. So if you're thinking about joining the armed forces for money, you're on crack. You're better off on food stamps. I didn't think the pay was this bad.. but hey, I'm here. Someone is always telling me how proud of me they are, but I'm just doing my job. The people everyone should really be proud of are the family members that are home taking care of their families. If it weren't for them, half of the troops wouldn't be able to make it. The support that we get from home is really what keeps us going. So if you see someone with a shirt that says something like "navy wife" or "the proud mother of a US marine" tell them how proud of them you are for keeping the families together. It really means a lot more to them then it does to us.
