Hooray
Oh my stars and garters, I think I just had a pleasant family holiday. Crashing the night at my parents' was kind of boring (except for Mom introducing me to The Bronx is Burning, about the '77 Yankees which I need to watch all of like RIGHT NOW), but the actual dinner at my aunt's house was rather pleasant. Really good dinner and it finished off with me out on the porch with the men of the family (those of you who work with me will notice the pattern that is forming ;) ) having a glass of port and a cigar. I don't think I've felt so civilized in a very long time.
At least until my father requested a young, nubile, unrelated female when my aunt stuck her head out the door to ask if we needed blankets.
(Then again, that's about par for him, and I did snicker.)
And now I am off for a midnight walk through the city with Wade. Awesome.
