Update, indeed
So sleepy, so I will ramble at you all.
-training day at HelpIsOnTheWay was great - well, the training itself dragged at times, but it was still interesting. I got to learn that FL has no state taxes. I also learned that everyone I work with has a wicked sense of humor :) And, best of all - I can wear jeans to work! No officewear required! YAYYYYYY!
-I'm still a clothes-buying fiend. And Mom took me to One Liberty to buy some shirts as a late Christmas present. After shopping at J Crew - I am clearly shopping in the wrong places. I had one guy helping me out, and he started a dressing room, left me a bottle of water and when I was showing mom a shirt? Bro popped my collar for me. There was much "ack, no, no!" at that. I do, in fact, look really stupid with my collar up. Just like everyone else. I also have three shirts that look like they were tailored exactly for me, awwyeah.
-I keep buying more yarn. Heh. Heh heh. Ordered a bunch of stuff from Knitpicks, and went to AC Moore where I got a ton of Caron Simply Soft to make a shrug out of, and some beautifully-dyed alpaca that will probably become gauntlets. I'm still working on the first of a pair of socks (very plain, from some yarn I got in Peru), and legwarmers, using one of those nifty round knitting looms. I wasn't too fond of it at first, but I've been won over. Am in love with the Caron. It's acrylic love, baby.

-I'm going to Shakmah's New Years ritual tomorrow. Those of you who know Shakmah may, in fact, have just started praying for me. I encourage that.
-I get to douse myself in a hot bath of evaporated milk, salt, herbs, beer, champagne, rum, perfume and rosewater. If anyone ever asks you, tell them that voodoo is *messy*, mkay?
