My Dad the Bionic Man and Rachel Ray
Today my father went to the hospital for scheduled knee replacement surgery. The leg injuries he suffered while playing football back in high school and college made it necessary to replace the bone in the knee with nuts and bolts. He has no regrets playing football. If asked, he'd say it's his favorite sport. Walking will be tough for a while but as he always said (accompanied by plenty of eye rolling from myself and two brothers): "When the going gets tough..."

I read in the Daily News that chef Anthony Bourdain referred to Rachel Ray as a bitch while being feted at an event at the New York Public Library. He is most fortunate that I wasn't at the Library or he would have been crushed beneath shelves.
I respect other people's rights to have their own opinions. I draw the line at insulting Rachel Ray. That woman has skills in the kitchen. Plus a smile that can light up a city. I know she's married but a guy can pretend.
If I ever get lots of money I'll ask her to cook a dinner for me. But not with the outfit she wears below.
