I hate my generation sometimes

This girl is suing her college after graduating this spring and not finding a job in 90 days...during a recession. WTF!

What is with this sense of entitlement so many kids and young adults are ending up with? Why do they think that they automatically get everything, and don't have to take responsibility for failures or mistakes?

A cousin's of Rafe's fell off a waterfall and became partially paralyzed from her waist down, although she was able to walk a short distance to pick up her high school diploma. But rather than thinking "wow, trying to climb back up a slippery waterfall was really stupid" instead her and her family sued the city saying it was their fault that she fell, and now it is illegal to jump off that waterfall. A 50-year tradition now made illegal because one person wanted to sue, not even after jumping, but from climbing back up in a very dangerous way.

Yes, there are accidents at this waterfall, and it is dangerous to jump from any high place into water. But this kind of blame-others-for-your-mistakes mentality HAS TO STOP!

Should this girl have gotten into $70,000 in debt for a 4-year degree? That's debatable. I will grant that perhaps better guidance early on on financial aid and such might have been more helpful for her, but getting yourself that far in the hole, I'm sorry to say from firsthand experience, is your fault, and you can't (or shouldn't be able to) just sue people because you're pissed off at them.

TAKE FUCKING RESPONSIBILITY FOR YOUR ACTIONS. The world is not going to always bow down to you, so stop expecting everything to go according to plan and then getting all huffy when it doesn't.

Sorry, I just have to let my inner curmudgeon out sometimes. But no, this isn't being curmudgeonly. This is getting fed up with a phenomenon that has now become the cultural norm, and it's detrimental to healthy developmental growth, not to mention everybody's good time.
