Day 12: I am eaten by Lorises.

Feb 02, 2010 06:25

I am writing for work and writing for University; I spent almost 12 hours sitting at my computer yesterday.

Consequently, I don't feel much like writing here.

So here's a little story about some pictures I took a year or so ago...

There once was this house, see... )

gardiners, farm, good times, house, fun

We're still at the farm - we use our house for Mousehole, since we have the most land around the house, and we're really isolated (as in, no traffic sound, no houses visible, nuthin'). We have Yule at another person's house, and we switch around as needed.

But we're putting in some permanent things at our place - a berm fort, and a building for the "tavern", and such. It's a great place for swordplay. :)

Damn Spaniards!

That's really cool how you have the two personas. I like it!

"Fanny" used to be a moveable persona, but when we renovated part of the old house to be the tavern, I pretty much took on the persona permanently. :)

It's fun to switch - I get to dress fancy and be refined when I feel like it, or joke with the lads and be silly. It also allows me to have two wardrobes - the silk one, and the wool one.

"Evil Plans" (TM) are in the works for a tavern structure at the ranch in the hills near here (lots of acreage, a river and some horses - what is not to like?). In the meantime, we're under canvas as well. Hope your construction gets going before ours does - many 'bake sales' to be held between now and then!

Also, just struck by the fact that our 'Tavern-To-Be' also has "cat" in it's name (thanks to the discovery of a cat skeleton on the future site of the structure).

What a well dressed lot, and amazing location. It was very good of you to donate it, and how lucky that you had it to donate.
