Shadows of Things Not Seen, But Sensed
I got Bob The West Wing for Christmas - the complete series. We've been watching it bit by bit, and last night, we watched the episodes where Zoe Bartlett is kidnapped.
The music at the end of the third episode in the section is incredible - it plays as the family attends a special mass, and Donna and Josh see the offerings at the gates of the White House, and the bombing planes are deployed. Even thinking about it makes the hairs on my arms stand up.
The music is Lisa Gerrard (of Dead Can Dance), and the song is "Sanvean - I am Your Shadow". I got it off iTunes, and I've been listening to it on and off all day.
Sometimes, something very deep comes out in a particular song, and it doesn't leave you for a while.
