Exercises in Utter Futility - Office Version

KASF (Atlantia) was very nice this weekend.  Sorry about my lack of judging (except for Tirzah - hi, Tirzah!  You were a really nice person to judge, I appreciate it), but I simply wasn't in a head space for the proper attention to detail that a good judge requires.  Since I normally do nothing but judge at big A&S things, I'm not feeling too guilty.  I got to talk to people and hang out, and had a fine time without falling over (just got a little wobbly, which was expected).  Minion of awesome lisettelaroux  took care of me and let me borrow her mug, since I forgot one.

I am feeling a *lot* better - almost human at this point.

Which is good, since yesterday at the office was a comedy of errors - the new furniture arrived, and boy, oh boy.  I have now removed most of it from my teeny little office, and have put shelves in its place (they gave me no shelves - can you believe it?  I have umpty-million binders in my office, and no shelves).  I have, by judicious snaffling of old tables, increased my desk area somewhat (it's still smaller than it was, which sucks), and now, the only "new" furniture in my office is the stupid and ugly (fake cherry laminate particle board, yech) desk.  I am halfway through laying all my files back in their piles on the floor, and arranging the in-boxes that cover all available shelf space that isn't full of binders.  And I'm sorting old papers that I can shred (yay).  It took me most of the day to get internets back up (not to mention my phone), which is why you didn't see anything from me yesterday (post from home?  That cuts into my precious TV-and-nap time).

Upshot of all the idiocy is that I now have a less-useful desk and more shelf space because I got rid of the new furniture.  Oh, and several days of lost productivity.  Whee.

At some point, I'll have an actual post, but I still have papers to sort, and at least one more box of files to track down.

blah blah blah, stuff
