The White Sox begin their three-game road trip against the Twins tonight.  If it goes well, the Sox could clinch the division this week.  If it goes poorly, they'll find themselves in a bitter battle for a playoff spot.  Needless to say,  I'm pretty anxious about the trip.  I don't want to endure the month of October in the midst of a Cubs postseason without the Sox finding their own slice of success.  In so many ways, structures in the United States (and elsewhere) pit people against other people they don't even know.  For example, I can almost guarantee I won't like a Cubs fan that happens to be a bro.  Why?  Because he possesses two qualities that I consider inferior to what I possess.  Granted, I know nothing about his personality, dedication to bro-ness or Cubs-dom, or anything whatsoever really.

And this seems to be a big problem considering the election.  A two party system forces people to hate one another.  Plain and simple.  I do not like people in the religious right.  Hell, I can barely tolerate conservatives.  And I don't  enjoy or even pretend to know much about politics!  It's useful, albeit difficult to step back once in awhile, and admit that my beliefs come from a very different place, and that maybe I could never understand.

That being said, fuck the cubs.
