Serenity now, Lord. Grant me serenity fuckin' now, 'fore I kill somebody.

Y'know, I almost miss the days when I lived with my crew in emptied out places we squatted in. Then, we didn't have to worry 'bout bills, and keepin' the electric on, and garbage like that. We took it, for the greater good. Didn't hurt nobody, y'know? Long as it don't hurt nobody else, stealin' ain't somethin' I got beef with.

Gettin' away from my point.

Bills.

That's what it's all about, right? Drownin' in freakin' paperwork.

Swear t' God, it seems like we fight an' fight an' fight, an' those white-collar punks at Wolfram and Hart sit in their big black glass tower above it all an' watch while people who tryin' to do good gotta almost kill each other for scraps.

It's almost enough t' make a guy think about flippin' sides...see what you can do from inside the belly of the beast, y'know?

Not that I'd ever talk about that with Wes, Fred or Groo. Gotta keep a brave face, y'all. Can't let 'em see y' sweat. 'Specially not Fred.

If there's one good thing I do in this world, it's keep that woman safe.

That alone puts a little smile on my face every now and then.
