package deal

Ahhhhhh bastard. Stuart came and heard us play last night (and for the record, we sounded good) but he doesn't think we're "what he needs right now." I don't even fucking know what that means! But apparently me, alone, is a good fit, as he, so lovingly, brought up in front of the rest of the lads who had no idea those were the original terms Stuart approached me with. Despite his little bitch ways, we showed him the door since he isn't interested in the lot of us. Package deal, The Strays.

It's shit luck, but we're trying not to focus on the "no" part and more on the "someone liked the single enough to come hear us play," part. We all had a long talk (before an even longer and more deadly piss up) and we are going to keep fielding managers as they come to us, but focus more on finding someone to work with us on making a record. Jones has a couple of gigs he's firming up for us in the next few weeks, so we encourage you to come and tell us how stupid that bloke was in person at those times. :)

I did manage to drag my carcass out of bed this morning for breakfast with Peeep, so that was a bit mood bolstering as well. What started as muffins and coffee and quickly became a greasy fry up and a sneaky cheeky smoke before dropping me off (only marginally late) for work. The miracles of grease and TCH. <3 And Pip's tales of brushes (*ahem*) with royalty.

I got a couple of newish tunes in the works, and surprisingly had a good rush of creativity coming back from Spain. Heading over to The Soundry after work to put down a few demos before jamming with Joey (and more booze o.O) tonight. Looking forward to it.

Big congrats to Lin on the funemployment as well. Living the dream.

you're lucky i didn't defenestrate you, recording, trying for a record, band shit, soundry, asses in gear, here we go, the strays
