Hellooo. So unless you've been boycotting us or under a rock (the latter is probably a better idea) you know about our hostile take over at Reading. I couldn't possibly tell the story better than Dajve did on her LJ so I'll leave it at that. <3 But boys are pussies and Dajve is the most entertaining person I've possibly ever met the end.
Also I'd like to take the chance to be a self centered hoar and post the pics Winnie just sent me from my set on Saturday if only so I can talk about how fucking epiccccc that pink jacket I stole from Dajvid is, cause if you didn't make it in before the end of the 3rd song you missed it. Gorgeous but fuck I was going to have heat stroke if I kept it on. :(
I think the one on the bottom left is during my tale of Reading when I was angrily thinking to myself, "Please God stop crying you idiots." :)
But thanks to every body who ruined their perfectly nice Saturday night coming to see me. :) Good to meet some new faces as well, and Cheers, Joey for sticking around after for a drink.
Last night I ended up (surprisingly.) going to the London Philharmonic with Lindsay. Delightfully unkempt and growled at more than once, The Rake's Progress was will unbelievable. Apparently our box seats were not quite up to Mr. Brown's standards, but other than being rushed out of the flat, I thought everything was amazing. Cheers, Pip for even letting him get that far in a tux. ;)
Did a lot of good networking between making boys cry at Reading and I have a few ideas to run past the lads next week once we start up practicing again. I've been trying to get a jump start on writing the last couple of tunes we need to have enough material for a record but ugh. It's been a slow and painful process on my own. Sets like this week's and especially last Wednesday's make me realize I don't want to be up there on my own, and also that I apparently can't write on my own anymore so...looks like it's a good call to end our little holiday from each other.
Got my last solo gig on Thursday which I will be glad to have over and done with, I feel like all I've done for the last week is sit in a room and play guitar. It was good to get out last weekend, and I think (Yes?) I've got a J-Date with Cakes on Wednesday. Here's hoping. Watch the papers. ;) I'm also going to have a long talk with him about going into the afro-pick business.
Oh! And Jones congrats on the club. I think I'm a bit behind the ball on that. You'll do ace, kid.
