Well, I'm back from the wedding, and it turned out to be really, really lovely - I'm so glad I went. My school friend just looked radiant and spent the whole day grinning, as did her new husband. And everything was relaxed and fun, and full of joy and laughter unlike some of the more formal weddings I've been to. My friend and her husband are really into the folk music scene so they had a great band with lots of dancing, and performances from
Stone Monkey Rapper (who he dances with) and
Mr Fox (who she performs with), which really livened things up. Mr Fox in particular were really spectacular, although they nearly set a nearby garden pagoda on fire with a stray torch! And the whole evening was rounded off with fireworks. Yeah - it was really great :)
On a totally different topic, have any of you ever used Julia Cameron's morning pages technique? I read about it again this weekend and am thinking about trying it out, but wondered what your experiences were.
And finally, I have been doing some more tattoo thinking and research. I am thinking if I do go for it, I will probably locate the design at the top of my back, between my shoulder blades as then I can show it or not as I choose. And looking at designs, I'm currently drawn to sun patterns or slightly more abstract organic designs. I would link you a picture but the website I was using to look at things doesn't let me do that. Rats!
