Post-surgery update
Things went real well yesterday....well, aside from the fact that I got into the OR two hours late, but that's beside the point. The screw came out fine, I have it in a bag now (Show & Tell, anyone?), and I got home around 2pm. I opted out of general anesthesia, so got a nerve block instead...and didn't hurt at all until late last night! Now that the block has worn off, of course, drugs are my friend, but it's not hurting anywhere near as much as after my first surgery.
Also, I can start walking on it RSN, with my big-fat-ugly-velcro boot. So my big fear of spending 2 weeks lying around with my foot elevated: not gonna happen! Yays. Even so, I'm not going to push myself. Making coffee this morning made me tired, and I think I've come down with a cold. :-( I have peoples here (good thing I accidentally scheduled it during school vacation week!) to take care of me, and my father's coming over later on today. hmark42 & his nephew (who just moved in with us) are great!
So, email or message me...the sore throat is making me less inclined to talk on the phone at the moment, but I would like to hear from people. Also, I suspect I'll be up & around in time for social events this weekend. :-)
