Two shows:
Tuesday, August 24th: ABR, The Acacia Strain, If Hope Dies, and The Vegas Standard @The Championship. $7 6PM (Acacia Strain is so heavy)
Wed, August 25th: ABR, Leisure Van, Suburban Sound @LCBC. This show starts at 6PM, even though our website says 7PM. ABR is playing first. Come and rock out with us and the youth!
Update time: Saturday was Purple Door after my work shift at Weis. All the good hardcore bands played before I got there due to work. It poured buckets before I was there as well and the festival's grounds were rediculous. Soupy mud everywhere. Bonus, Magrein, and I went up thanks to CI. We watched As I Lay Dying, but we did not bring the mosh. I couldnt bring myself to get covered in mud. It just wasn't worth it. AILD were pretty tight nonetheless. I wish the weather would've been better. The only other band I watched was Lovedrug. They were awesome.
Sunday was church and then some hanging with the rents. Around 2PM I went over to Metzlers for some hanging and fishing. It was a nice group of kids and we had a good time. Afterwards we had a good solid band practice and then went to Bonus's and watched The Big Bounce. There was a Darkest Hour song on the soundtrack for about 5 seconds. The rest of the movie was jazz and easy listening. We found it hysterical.
Today I worked 8-5PM. It kinda sucked but the time passed quickly b/c I was in the mood to get stuff done. This evening was band practice followed by the free Further Seems Forever acoustic set at CI. I was disappointed by only 3 songs played, but I thought the new singer was good contrary to what I had heard.
Rest of the week consists of my last week of work and 3 ABR shows. Then Sunday I move back into school. Busy times are ahead. Sorry if I'm not in the loop for the next few days, for I will be busy as a bee.

Last night Bonus, Chan, Kenny, and I went into Dalanna's on 3rd street to hang out and say goodbye to Brian before he goes to Maine to make money and learn more. It was a really enjoyable evening. We played Scattagories and watched the x717x DVD. Lots of laughs and good times. The drive home was great as well.
tomorrow is purple door. It will be the first time I have ever attended.

I dont understand why someone would start smoking after living for 18 years without it. With all the medical proof about how unhealthy it is, there's no reason to start. And yet, people do. I wish I understood why.

Today worked from 7AM-5:30PM. The day got so freaking long by the end. I got put on the first big register all afternoon and I was in a terrible mood. By the end of the shift I decided I had had enough and I put in my two weeks notice. Four years at Weis was to long as is. Its time to move on and do something else. Maybe full time band? That'd be nice.
This evening I went to Worth Dying For's last show ever. I got there late and I missed everyone but Nine Orders, WDF, and Let It Die. Worth Dying For was great and I will miss that band a lot. It was nice to see them again since I havent seen them live in ages. I was happy to see all the nice people from Lancaster and Reading, but Manheim's showing was poor which sucked. Nonethless, the show was so fun and I was stoked to get a free Worth Dying For cd. Let It Die was good stuff too. Nice heavy tough guy. Not metal at all as I had expected.
On the way home I ran into rediculous traffic on 283E. There must've been an accident b/c traffic was at a complete stand still. I decided to drive across the grassy plain seperating the two directions, but much to my dismay it was completely flooded and soggy in the middle. Fortunately my good ol' Taurus plowed through without getting suck and I took rt 230 into Etown and home. I hope the accident wasnt too bad.
