Ah, here is something more like that full update I promised. Today was the Washington trip, which was pretty cool if I may say so myself. But first, yesterday after school was kinda crazy for me. I found out that I'm presenting the awards for the best senior projects in the awards assembly tomorrow, so that should be fun. We went TV shopping at Best Buy, because the one we had just totally burned out, so we got a pretty nice one. Its nothing special though, but hey, we don't really need something fancy. While setting it up, me and my dad dropped it on my finger, which sorta lost some feeling and swelled up a whole lot. I still havent gotten all feeling back in it, so as I'm typing this, I keep having to go back and correct errors.
Anyway, back to the trip today. The ride down to DC was kinda annoying, since me and Aaron sat near Steve, Craig, Jake, and them, and Steve had made some of his special cookies. So they were irritating. But other than that it was an uneventful ride down. First we went to Arlington and watched the Changing of The Guard at the unknown soldier monument. It was hot as hell, and I may have been interested if I was say, standing in the shade. Then we walked right back to the buses and went to all the war memorials. I actually liked this part. A whole bunch of us went to the new WWII memorial, which is actually really nice. We also saw the Korean War memorial, but I've seen that one before, but it was still kind of interesting. Then we went to the National Mall, and basically had free reign for two and a half hours. We opted to go to the Air and Space Museum, which I've been to a thousand times, but it was still alright. We watched a really crappy planetarium thing, which I fell asleep in, so I can't really say too much about it except that I want my eight dollars back. We spent almost an hour in the gift shop, which was hysterical. Some of the craziest stuff is in there, and even the most useless things are über expensive. And freeze dried ice cream is a cool concept, but it tastes like crap. After we left there, we embraced our inner child and went over to the carousel, where we met Annie's group and we all got on and acted like fools. Pictures were taken, and it was a good time. Then we all went back to the buses.
The bus ride back was a trip unto itself. We watched Pirates of the Carribean, which was cool, since I've never seen it before. When that was over, we all got bored and started throwing things at Doris, which escalated into a huge trash fight in the back of the bus. Then Ms. Cohen came back and tried to take the trash several times, but we just sat on it and threw it again when she went back up front. Finally things calmed down, and Steve's cookies wore off on him, Craig, and Jake, so things pretty much stayed that way until we came back. I don't think it was as good a trip as Baltimore was in 9th grade, (a trash fight isn't as funny as throwing tampons), but it was definitely better than last year's to New York. I was thinking about not going, but I'm glad I did. So thats the end of that.
