"Busy reassuring the children's parents?" Farad'n asked, finding his way into her office.

"Or letting the children hide in here," she replied agreeably, giving him a small smirk. "I'm afraid the bar will be quite full of traumatized people of all ages tonight."

"You'd think the children would be hiding some place their visitors won't be," he pointed out easily, looking at the books she had in her office. "Will you be one of them? In the bar?"

"I had rather considered taking you to Irulan's shop, or down to the beach, since you are technically my guest," she replied, raising an eyebrow. "But if you'd prefer the bar, I have no problems with that."

"No," Farad'n said, possibly too quickly. "I'd like to see this ocean."

"I thought so," she murmured, amused. "Since I believe Salusa Secundus isn't exactly known for its lush and fertile oceans."

"Well, it's no Caladan," he agreed evenly, the undercurrent of amusement there.

"Few planets are. The statistical improbability of a hospitable planet of over 99.9 % water is astronomical," Ghani teased.

Alright, so Farad'n was much more tolerable outside of the court than he was when they were both there. That didn't mean Ghanima was flirting. Much.
