Few Things

1. Tommy Lee and Dave Navarro are the biggest reality TV show whores of all time

2. Garage rock is the new thing in lap-top I-pod commercials

3. Musical taste and LJs were alot more important in High School

Music is a big deal. I think it reveals a lot about a person, but at the same time someone shouldn't be judged solely by their musical taste.

As far as the whole myspace/lj thing goes, a correspondent on Dateline or 20/20 or Primetime made an interesting comment about how youth today is spending a great deal of their free time "hosting profiles." Even though sites like Myspace and LJ are places dominated by young people, I don't think they're things that should be taboo for someone over 30 to have. Both are modern, useful, unique ways of connecting with people and sharing humor and information and entertainment. However I would rather have more people on my myspace friends who are like this than like this.

Basically I think you should stick with what you enjoy, even if it is "hosting one or more profiles" no matter how you think you might be growing up.
