So, I told some of you (Andrea) this story, but I feel its important enough to mention.
I went into Art Van the other day to buy my futon for my dorm this year. Which, ps. is really really sweet and I would love anyone to come visit and crash on it this year:)
Anywho, I walk in and just take a minute and observe all the 35-60 year old employees working on commission for probably about 30 grand a year and I realize that they probably are all college grads who just settled for a job and I immediately saw myself 20 years from now working at Art Van or something similar.
What they hell am I going to do when I graduate? I have a while, but with my life goals, I can't go and settle for a job because itl pay off my student loans. Thats how people get stuck in the black hole trap that is the city of Kalamazoo (see the "we just want to get the fuck out of Kalamazoo" facebook group)
Settling is not what I do, but I just see myself doing that to avoid debt. Which also can't happen considering my life goals (you should know them, but in case you don't I'll relay them right now....
1. A lamborghini or equivalent by 35
2. A multimillion dollar yacht by 45
3. To see every country in the world by death
Anyway. I guess the point of this entry is so you all can tell me not to ever work at Art Van selling futons to stuck up college hopefuls.
23 days till kickoff!
PSS. Its August, 2 years ago I was in Scotland. So, I'm listening to the military tattoo recording cuz bagpipes fricken rock.
