so, my history class just had to watch a video on the Donner party. For those of you who don't know, in 1846 a group of 86 people set out on the Oregon Trail for California. They got caught in a really bad snow storm and couldn't make it up the Rocky mountains. Faced with starvation, they basically killed and ate the weak people.

As disturbing as that sounds, the end of the movie was classic. Apparently, one of the survivors opened a now thriving restaurant at the site.

Anyone else see the immense irony and dark humor in that?
