Titanium Rod
So my mom broke her leg today at 1:30, dialed 9-1-1 to get an ambulence, she had a splint put on in the emergency room and she will have surgury tomorrow. She fell off of her flip-flops and broke her fibia and tibia in a spiral-shape, thus her leg could bend almost 360 degrees halfway down her calf. So, she was admitted to the hospital and will have a titanium rod that runs the length of her lower leg inserted. Complications could arise during surgery and recovery; diabetics are more prone to have extraneous injuries.
I had to deal with all of the insurance mess - my dad is out of town and his flight won't get back until late tonight. Yeah, a fun night.
