Thanksgiving was seriously great. I got back to Torrance Wednesday night, and wanted to hang out with the South XC guys who were back in town (naturally), so I called up Shawn and Matt and arranged to meet them at the Starbucks by the Ralphs at nine. Turns out that Starbucks actually closes at nine, so we just kind of ended up hanging out in the parking lot instead. On the plus side though, Katie Farish, Elise, Nicole, and Jen just happened to be driving through in a van at the time, so we met up with them and spent the next hour and a half just kind of hanging out. Good times.
Went to the Turkey Trot on Thursday, and saw more or less EVERYBODY from South - all the current XC people, Guzman, Damon, Shawn (again), Hershel, Tokuda, the ElCo team. The race itself was quite enjoyable (although I discovered that all the running I haven't been doing since the end of the season was beginning to catch up with me). Went home and spent the day watching football, eating copious amounts of good food for the first time in a while, and playing with some math homework from Tech. Also good times.
Went to see National Treasure on Friday. Met up with Daniel Ozeki, Phoebe, Mike Meninger, Liz, and the rest of the San Diego crew. Again, good times.
Went back to Tech Sunday morning (cause I had a whole bunch of work that I put off over the break and had to catch up on). I've been keeping myself pretty busy ever since; this is our last week of instruction, and finals are coming up next week, so we've been keeping pretty busy. But it's still lots of fun. Good times all around.
