Stickin' it to the man
Well, it's been awhile. Life here is still hectic (midterms are coming up next week), but as usual, it's still been really fun. I finished up most of my work for the week yesterday, so I was able to kind of take Friday night off. I ended up rounding up some people from my house and driving down to Old Pasadena to see a movie. We ended up seeing Team America, which, although quite possibly the single most vulgar movie ever made, was still really damn funny :-). I'd highly recommend it, provided that you don't offend easily.
Other than that, my absentee ballot came on Thursday, so that was cool. I'm going to be "stickin' it to the man" on Nov. 2, as they say :-).
Actually, I was talking about the election with some people on the cross country team who came from traditionally conservative/Republican states in the Midwest. Turns out that there really is a perception in the Midwest of California being some uber-liberal hippie enclave. Apparently we're known as the "land of fruits and nuts". I had a good laugh over that one :-).
