Go ahead and take that shower. Thanks to the daily kid washing, my hot shower was short lived.
That is where I am at the moment. I'm sitting at the crossroads of a grand adventure playing with my trusty deck of cards. My grandfather, the father of my mother, gave me my first deck of playing cards when I was about five. He told me I should always have them on my person. "You never know when a deck of cards could come in handy." It started my playing card collection. I still have them,they are still in good condition for being as old as they are, and that Bee deck is still my favorite out of the 200 or so decks of cards I own.
Those words have been ringing in my head along with something grandma (my great grandmother) would say. "As long as you have people who love you through good and bad, you are going to be a success." Words of wisdom for a man who lives by words. I have some hard decisions to make, but I know that those who love me, both here and in the hereafter are cheering me on.
I have failed before. The important word in that last statement is before, and I never gave up. Failure teaches us. I cherish every failure, because I learn something new dust myself off, stand up, and try again. So I sit at the crossroads of opportunity. It is about time I stopped shuffling and started walking. The future and success await.
