it's Chinese New Year!
today's the eve of Chinese New Year..my reunion dinner would be with just my mum and my brother. The last time my father had reunion dinner with us was years ago. I see my mum preparing steamboat as usual. Steamboat's the easiest to prepare...according to her.
this year I don't really have the mood to celebrate.. simply no idea why I feel this way. we had a celebration in camp this morning .. a rather forced one because all recruits booked out last night, and us instructors have to stay for that celebration. what's new...
One thing I'm glad is the huge amount of goodies I have at home this year. It's significantly more than other years.. and my favourite food is undeniably "Ba Kwa" and pineapple tarts... not those circular kind with the pineapple filling on top, but those odd shaped tarts with the fillings inside. yum yum...
Now I shall wish all Chinese a Happy and Prosperous Chinese New Year!
