i had a glorious day today. i didn't get everything done that i wanted, but i did do most of it and it won't take long to finish up tomorrow. we were going to go to the zoo tomorrow, but john is stuck working yet another saturday. bummer.

so anyway, i've done several loads of laundry, cleaned the kitchen (a feat unto itself!), swept and mopped all the linoleum floors, and cleaned all the wood in addition to my regular daily cleaning. i still need to put away all the clean clothes, clean the bathrooms, and vacuum, which i normally take a break off cleaning on the weekends, but since john will be at work tomorrow i might as well do it tomorrow and just have an easier monday.

i sort of got into it with my friend Kyndal on the phone today....like, i was about ready to just yell at her and let her have it and hang up. the whole thing was basically because we were talking about blogging (which she doesn't do) and me saying that if something tragic happens that it's rude for someone to post to you saying "well that's what you get for blah blah blah...." like people did with babyslime when her son passed away, and her in turn saying that if you "put your dirty laundry out there to people who are strangers and don't even care about you then they have the right to say whatever they want." i was going to EXPLODE i was so mad that she said that. i dearly love all of my livejournal friends (some of which i do know IRL) and even the ones i don't, i still feel as though they as much a friend as any IRL friend i have. i have sent things to LJ friends and prayed for them and vice versa and been excited for them and happy for them. i partly was mad at her calling my LJ friends strangers when she didn't know anything about what she was talking about, but mostly furious that A.)she would call updating on something horrible "airing dirty laundry" and B.)that she was say it's okay to be rude and cruel to someone going through the worst pain of their life just because you read it online. this woman is someone who calls herself a christian, someone i grew up going to church camp with every summer. how could she condone such an unloving and unkind response? i really think i need to take a break from talking to her for awhile. God is pretty good at removing people from my life who are spiritually toxic for me (which i am certain is why my friend Jen and i haven't *really* talked but once or twice in MONTHS.)

i still love these ladies and would do all that i could to help them if they were in need, but it's a lot easier to have someone pull you down than for you to pull someone else up.

i've been listening to the praise and worship station on yahoo launchcast radio a lot lately during the day andi LOVE it. there are some songs on there that are very early 90's/something my mom would listen to sounding, but a lot of it is really great. songs that i used to sing at church and youth group as a teenager that i haven't heard in nearly 10 years. it's so beautiful to be in a place in my walk again where i can just sing and dance my heart out for God while washing dishes, only now i have two beautiful sons who dance before the Lord with me. i'm glad tht they can grow up with dancing as worship being a normal, joyous way of life.

i feel so blessed in my life. every day i wake up and thank the Lord for giving me another day to spend with my wonderful family- my hard-working, and self-sacrificing husband and my happy, glowing children. i praise God for the roof over our heads, and food in our kitchen, and all the nice things in our home. and something that is definitely God at work in me is me cleaning the house every day. not that it's spotless mind you, but i have NEVER liked cleaning and have always been a packrat. when john and i were first dating it looked like about 20 squatters were living in my one bedroom one bath apartment and it didn't bother me at all. now i joyful pick things up and dust and fold clothes as a way to thank the Lord for all that he has blessed me with, and as a way to thank my husband for how hard he works for his wife and children. it's a priviledge to clean all these things, because they are things i haven't always had and i know that any number of things from a fire to a flood to a tornado to a robbery could take them all away in an instant. i am thankful for every breath that he lets me keep taking.

Your love is deep
Your love is high
Your love is long
Your love is wide...

Your love is deep
Your love is high
Your love is long
Your love is wide...

Your love is deeper than my view of grace
higher than this worldly place
longer than the road i travel
wider than the gap You fill

deeper than my view of grace
higher than this worldly place
longer than this road i travel
wider than the gap You fill

who shall seperate us?
who shall seperate us from Your love?
nothing can seperate us
nothing can seperate us from Your love!

'cause Your love is deep
Your love is high
Your love is long
Your love is wide

Your love is deep
Your love is high
Your love is long
Your love is wide....
