I read the eArc, back when. John had a lot of fun with it. What's been really interesting is watching his scenario play out with the current solar cycle. One thing that's got a lot of people concerned is the very low number of new sunspots in the current cycle.
There's some real question whether we're looking at either (a) a low cycle, like the post-1800 cycles (and note what that did to Napoleon's army in Russia), or (b) another minimum, similar to the Maunder minimum.
Let me re-phrase, I've read all the books currently publishes (in print-on-paper format) in all those other series, excepting the Princess of Wands series.

If you enjoy this, there's also the website and the interview.
I know who SkyGeek is based on - he posts over on JustBarkingMad.
Oh, and if you need more comic relief, they've been posting a video series of The Making of Ghost.
Prologue, Part 1, Part 2, and Part 3.
John's a ton of fun. If you ever have a chance to get drug out to dinner with John, go.
Oh, and John's working on the next trilogy in the Mike O'Neil books, so that'll be coming out soon.
Oh, and you know he's got 4 books out in the Looking Glass/Vorpal Blade universe, right?

Honest, I'm not as much of an a**hole as John made me out. I _was_ a little surprised that I survived the book, though.

Are your books published by Baen?

And no, not Baen. Most everything's out of print, these days, or private doc. Check Amazon.

You and I are politely disagreeing in The Bar about the nature of the early WW2 Philippine/American army.

Why do you think I picked up a sideline in cabinetry? Got to make bookshelves to put all those books on.
