New Family member!
My niece, Evelyn Masako (last name omitted) was born yesterday morning. 19.5 inches and 10 pounds. She is very chubby and very Japanese looking. (Scott, my brother-in law, is Japanese, in case you all were wondering were that came from.) She and my sister are doing well.
Scott has been staying at the hospital with her so I have been taking care of my other niece, Catherine, who is two, and staying at her house at night.
So I have a one year old, a two year old, and a three year old all under foot. By myself. I am so going to need a stiff drink when this week is over.
Addie, god love her, has been coming over in the evenings when she gets out of class to help with bath and bed time. I totally owe her.
I am ashamed to admit to how many times we have watched Wall-E and Kung Fu Panda, and how many Happy Meals they have consumed. (At least I am getting milk and apple dippers with their nuggets instead of fries and soda... That way I can almost convince myself I am doing alright by them.)
And I need to figure out how in the world I am going to make it to the polls to vote in the run-off today.
