before i read your commentary:

i like until i die, but it's still got that weird double-layer produced sound to it. i miss hazuki's HIGH VISCOSITY voice. :|

i believe in me is now prob my favorite song on the album because i am typical like that. hazuki's voice from like 0:37-0:52 does things to me.

i DO like the re-recordings of JUDGEMENT and GLEAM but this album, overall, it's missing lynch. it's not bad, it just sounds nothing like lynch. which, i mean, is fine. bands need to grow and evolve. but e.g. LIE sounds like some mix between luna sea and like... alice nine. :| i'm trying to put my finger on which western band hazuki pakuri'd for that one.

absolute zero is severely disappointing. is it my speakers or is it just noisy? it actually makes me think of berry (i've been on a berry kick) but even more amateur :(

i like this coma! it's also... luna... sea...esque... and lolz the falsetto bits remind me of ayabie, before aoi was SHUNNED. all that matters to me, it's got hazuki's lovely voice in all of its unfiltered glory.

scarlet is really poppy and really autotuned or whatever. :|

tiamat is okay i guess.

before you know it appeals to me. it feels creepy and romantic and i like that. who is playing guitar during the interlude? i bet it's uncle reo. but i love it.

btw i am not trying to be a music critic or "omg if I were lynch. this album would've been fucking ACE." these are just my (perpetually pessimistic) opinions.

EDIT before my comp overheats: i kind of fell in the love with the packaging of this album, though. i wasn't all that thrilled by the thumbnails of the cover but now i super like it, an the shiny photo cover on the inside, too.

OMG i was overwhelmed by the packaging, hahaha. it's SO shiny and beautiful and there are so many parts to it. *_*

LIE is definitely weird, I think I like it, but it DOES kind of remind me of luna sea, now that you mention it... but not quite as good, unfortunately. i outright can't listen to THIS COMA. it's just so boring. T_T it's just so hamfisted, at least that's the way it sounds to me. maybe it'll grow on me. (to be fair, bits of berry were pretty hamfisted, too... but somehow i don't mind... somehow i love berry)

after a couple of listens, scarlet is still a bit EH for me. everybody's so excited because it "quotes" quarter life near the end, but that doesn't actually make it a great song.

i'm surprised you don't like -273! it feels right up my alley, and it's just a bit more unusual than the other songs and more experimental, which i like. like, there are bits which are unique, instead of sounding kind of like a knock-off of other songs by other artists.

it's an uneven album, i agree with you. there are songs i really like, and then definitely bits i could skip. honestly, the singles were some of the strongest songs (JUDGEMENT ♥-- it really didn't need that remixing), which kind of took away from the excitement.

i had no idea akinori WAS SO AMAZINGLY DORKY in life! the horsy laugh, the bad teeth... it's almost painful, but i kind of like him the more for it. he's so awkward and humble and self-deprecating.
