Takin care of business
Well this weekend was really productive. Jennettes dad and I tore apart the bathroom Saturday, and today we got all of the sheets of drywall except for where the shower pipes are. We were waiting for Jennettes cousin to come and install a new shower fixture. He got it done this evening while we were at my parents for dinner. After supper I did the drywall taping in the bathroom. We turned on the heat in the house so hopefully the mud will be dry by tomorrow night so I can put the finish coat on.
If all goes according to plan I can have the drywall finished on Tuesday night and me and my dad can start laying the tiles on the floor in the bathroom Tuesday or Wednesday. Tuesday would be better because then we can get either the tile tub-surround, or the paint done this week before moving day.
I've been on the go since 8:00 this morning and I just got finished about 9:45 tonight so I'm really, really tired. But It will all be worth it when I can sit in my house and relax and enjoy all of the hard work that we've put into the place.
