Yukari thinks she's had dreams like this before, but this feels real--she's sure she's just walked into the room. In fact, she almost bets this hallucination has something to do with Aigis. Even now, they share some kind of a connection, right? (Truthfully, she tries to brush it aside; it's not the same thing, she reminds herself. And it's not like Minato chose that. It just kind of ... happened.)
The smile, however, is deceiving.
"I know it's a holiday, but that doesn't mean I'm suddenly crazy," Yukari tells herself, turning toward her bed and unloading her things. She knows she's alone in this dormitory; all of her classmates are gone, and the only one who remains is Aigis. But at the moment, Aigis is out.
She runs a hand back through her hair, and just as he moves to drop back down, a cooler hand catches it, and spins her back. "Wh-what, look, hallucinations aren't supposed to be able to speak!" Yukari says defiantly, but Minato steps closer.
"Ah, you're still not okay with all of this, are you?" he asks, tilting his head and looking up toward her. The pangs of regret fill her-from losing, from not being able to change it so a different way of dealing with what everyone fears most could be brought upon them. Any way but one that ends with him dying.
"N-no, but as I said ..."
Minato doesn't give her a chance to reply before he draws her close. It's a hug, platonic in some ways, but Yukari breathes a sigh of relief as she falls against him. "I won't have you for long, will I?" she asks.
He doesn't reply. Instead, she feels satisfied as he turns them toward the bed, and even more so as he continues to hold her. She could be with Mitsuru-senpai and Junpei, widdling away the hours of the lonely holiday, but Yukari can't deny that this, whether it is a hallucination or not, is far more gratifying.
