This is why I'm trying to drink my subconscious into submission:

Last night, I dreamt that I was browsing on eBay. I found an incredible deal and immediately clicked the "Buy It Now" button. I had not thought the purchase through, though. It occurred to me seconds later, in dream-time, that I had no facilities for keeping a live tiger, even if it did only cost me $12. I became terrified, imagining that the tiger would be delivered when I wasn't expecting it, and that it would tear me apart because I had no cage for it. I was so worried that I actually woke myself up in order to avoid the tiger.

I was telling some people at work about the dream today. One of them went and got a dream dictionary from the Other Divination section and looked up "tiger." According to the New-Age frauds who write such books, a tiger means that all of the dreamer's plans for the future will fail miserably. Alternatively, the tiger symbolizes a new acquaintance who will screw the dreamer over. Cages mean unpleasant run-ins with the law, though the book didn't say what the lack of a cage means.

And there you have it. Somebody I don't know is going to get me in trouble with the law, and I'll never be able to get back into college. Thanks, Subconscious, for the vote of confidence. Here, have another whiskey. Fucker.
