new job

so the new job is going well. Its really strange to call it a 'job' even, its more of just a new way to live my life. I have little structure yet (which i'm sure will change) and it really plays to my need for guided independence. And i love that part of my 'job' is connecting with people - having lunch, meeting for coffee, really TALKING about what's going on in their lives, and how they see (or don't see) God meeting them.

Going to a conference today-Friday. my first experience with a large group of vineyardites, so i'm a little nervous about what to expect. my church, i think, is really rather tame when it comes to our worship style. I love it, and i'm not sure that we're the norm... ;) at least i've got kelly going with me!

Speaking of Kelly, we took her and Chris (her husband) to letchworth this past weekend. We camped at Mariposa and took them on a tour of HOughton on saturday morning. For those who might be interested (achem, NATE), John's chalkboard of essential equations in the p-chem lab is still there! it really is such a nice campus, and the inside of the chapel looks exciting! They're really doing a lot of work. After all, we all know there's a fine line between today and tomorrow. haha.

letchworth was fun, but kelly and i took a nap in the afternoon and woke up with bites. I got one on each foot, and, fastforwarding to today, they are HUGE, RED and SWOLLEN. The feet, that is, not the bites. I have ELEPHANT ankles!! its so bizarre. I actually went to the ER last night because nothign was bringing them down and i had a fever - that freaked me out. They don't know what bit me, or why i have a fever, so they prescribed three different meds. I'm off to get them filled; here's to getting my sexy ankles back!! :)
