Shun smiled to himself as he entered the local flower shop. Tonight he could take his time to pick out the bouquet he wanted since he wasn’t rushing from work. When he arrived at the clinic, the nurse was surprised to see him so early.

“Shun-san, is everything okay today?”

Shun nodded, “I didn’t have work today, so I came a little earlier.”

The nurse came around the desk to lead him to his mother’s room, “Ah, if only my own children were this loving, I’d be the happiest mother in the world.”

Shun smiled along as she talked. He was a little disappointed to hear that his mother wasn’t feeling well earlier, therefore she had went to bed early. But he nodded his thanks to the nurse as she closed the door behind him.

Shun took the vase from her nightstand to the sink and replaced the old flowers with the new ones. He walked over to her bedside to place the vase back in its spot and kneeled on the floor. He gingerly took one of her hands and clasped it between both of his. He closed his eyes and took a deep breath.

“Hey, Mom. A lot has happened to me lately. I’ve finally found a good place to work. They don’t pay that much higher than my old job, but the staff is friendlier. I like the boss there. She treats me well. Sometimes I even get to bring home dinner.” Shun waited for her to respond as if they were engaged in a conversation.

He watched her chest rise and fall as she softly snored. He pretended she had responded.

“Yes, school has been tough. It’s not the schoolwork, but the people that go there. I try to keep to myself, but my life keeps getting intertwined with this... person.”

His mother mumbled something as if she were listening to him. Shun forced a weak smile. If only she were really listening, he wouldn’t mind that she had drifted off to sleep. He gazed upon his mother’s peaceful face. Her beauty was still visible, but slowly fading. He gently stroked the side of her cheek. He hopelessly wished his mother would suddenly get better and return to normal so he could see her talk and laugh again. Not the constant agony and tears that shrouded her face. A sudden knock on the door startled him. He quickly stood up.

The door creaked a little. A chipper-looking woman dressed in a doctor’s coat poked her head around the door. She motioned for him to come out and he nodded that he understood.

Once outside, she introduced herself as his mother’s new doctor. He asked about his mother’s condition and she reassured him that his mother’s health was normal, but her mental state still needed some monitoring. The doctor noticed his brow furrow with anxiety.

She rested a hand on his shoulder, “Don’t worry, young man. This clinic will take good care of your mother. It’s really good that you always come by to see her. She really needs the companionship.”

Shun’s shoulders sunk a little. Those were the exact words from the last clinic, but he found out that they really didn’t care about his mother’s condition other than keeping her alive. He could tell the staff here really cared for their patients. At least that could ease some of his worries.

This doctor was relentless at cheering him up, reminded him of a particular someone. “So where do you go to school?”

He mindlessly answered the question as he was still focusing his attention on his mother’s condition.

“Oh! You go to the same school as my son, Uruha-chan.”

He was suddenly thought of that annoying class president.

“My son is the class president. He’s very smart, talented, and responsible. You know, my husband left when Uruha-chan was only ten. At that time I did feel as if my life had lost all meaning, but Uruha-chan quickly taught himself how to cook to cheer me up. He’s such a good child.”

“Oohhh! Sorry. I’m rambling on about my personal life. Would you happen to know him? You look about the same age.” The doctor laughed.

Shun solemnly answered, “I’m sorry. No.”

The doctor crossed her arms, “Oh, what a shame. You two could have been great friends.”

He politely smiled at the doctor’s story. He didn’t want anything to do with Uruha. He told himself to forget everything he heard. The doctor gave him her card with her contact information on it, and told him not to hesitate to call her at any time if he wanted to know about his mother. Shun bowed with thanks, and the doctor told him it wasn’t necessary. She waved a small goodbye to him as she quickly ran off to see her next patient. Shun watched her run down the hallway. She was the type of mother that he had lost so many years ago.

XOXOXOXO

Tora rubbed his hands together. Oh yes, P.E. was the one class he could never fail. Man, screw biology, history, physics, or any of those mundane subjects. P.E. was where all the action was, and how a man could prove himself to be the best.

He scanned the large, calm pool. Hah, today he’d outswim all of his classmates. Tora snapped his goggles onto his forehead. He looked towards the shower area where everyone was fighting to get a spot to rinse off. He never noticed how cute some of the girls in his class looked. Psht, they were nothing compared to Uruha. Without realizing it, Tora openly feasted his eyes on Uruha. He found Uruha’s shy, embarrassed stance incredibly cute. Tora licked his lips watching Uruha twist and turn at his hips to let the water wet his slim figure. Tora felt himself taking shorter and quicker breaths as his gaze traveled to Uruha’s smooth, soft thighs. Oh, only if he could-

A classmate slapped Tora on the shoulder, “Dude! The girls in our class aren’t that hot.”

Tora snapped his gaping mouth shut and covertly wiped the drool off the corner of his mouth. Damn, what was he thinking back there? He felt his upper lip getting wet. It was probably sweat. The pool area did seem a little warmer than usual. Tora ran his fingers across his upper lip and gasped. Shit, blood! Tora covered his nose and mouth as he made a mad dash back into the locker room.

Uruha wished he could wear a full body swimsuit like the ones marine animal trainers wore. He always felt so ashamed of showing any part of his skinny bare body. He noticed many of the other guys having some sort of manly figure and his looked so pitiful compared to theirs. He kept his arms crossed over his chest as the warm water ran down his bare back.

“Shit, Shun-kun!” Another classmate whistled. “Check out that six pack of yours.”

Uruha peeked out from the crowd towards the other end of the showers. Uruha gazed with awe at Shun’s well-defined muscular tones. Uruha gulped. He wondered what it would feel like to be embraced within Shun’s arms. Ack, what was he daydreaming about? He quickly looked away and stepped out of the shower area to avoid meeting Shun’s eyes.

Out of the corner of his eye, Shun noticed that Uruha diverted his gaze away. He simply wished for the exam to be over as soon as possible.

P.E. Sensei blew his whistle, “Listen up, everyone. Girls line up on the left side and guys line up on the right side of the pool.”

Tora reappeared from the locker room. The first thing he laid eyes upon was Uruha and those thighs. Tora slapped himself.

“Get it together, Tora.” He mumbled to himself as he went to stand next to Uruha.

P.E. Sensei read the assigned groups off his clipboard.

Yes! Tora could barely contain his squeal when he heard he was paired up with Uruha, but that squeal quickly turned into a growl. Shun?!?! Why did he and Uruha have to be stuck with that rapist?!?! Tora reasoned with himself that this was just a lucky chance given to him by the heavens to finally catch the criminal red-handed. No worries, he would protect Uruha with everything he had.

Tora pulled Uruha closer to him, “Stay nearby, Uruha.”

Uruha edged away a little from the awkwardness. Shun rolled his eyes. Out of all the people in their class, he was the lucky one to become their third wheel.

The test was to race against all other groups of three. The group that swam the best time would win.

Tora unofficially appointed himself as leader, “All right, Uruha. You go first.”

Shun remarked, “That’s dumb.”

Tora shook his finger at Shun, “What do you know about Uruha’s skills? He’s going first!”

Shun crossed his arms, “Only if you want to lose.”

Tora stuck his hands on his hips and stood his ground on his decision that Uruha should go first. Shun’s insults only egged him on to argue his point.

P.E. Sensei started the countdown. “Okay, guys, I hope you figured it out your lineup by now. 3...”

Shun shot an implicit look at Uruha.

“2…”

Uruha grimaced then flashed a small smile at Tora, “Okay, okay, Tora. You’re right. Can you watch me dive in?”

“Sure thing!” Tora eagerly followed Uruha to the edge of the pool.

Shun took this cue to sneak up from behind.

“…1!”

Shun forcefully shoved Tora, who lost his footing and belly flopped into the pool.

Tora flailed around gasping for air, “Ahhhh, shit! What the hell, man? I’m not Uruha!”

Uruha urged Tora, “Go, Tora! Go!”

Tora grumbled and sped ahead.

Uruha meekly looked up at Shun, “Thanks, Shun-san.”

Shun watched as Tora torpedoed through the water, “No problem.”

Uruha smiled inwardly at Shun’s response. Shun actually talked to him. Even if it was only one phrase, for the first time, Uruha felt a little bit of happiness seep back into his heart.

Tora was the first to come back, “Hurry up and get over here, Uruha.”

Uruha quickly dived in and swam at his turtle pace. Tora pulled his dripping wet self out of the pool. He punched his fist into the palm of his other hand right in front of Shun’s face to get his attention.

Shun wiped off the water droplets off his face and continued to watch the race. He wondered if he would be able to make up for the lost time. The others had already passed Uruha.

“Hey, jerk, how dare you-” Tora was starting to complain about the incident earlier.

“Not again.” Shun dived into the pool.

Tora hollered after Shun, “It’s not your turn yet, you- you-”

Tora felt the entire class staring at him, even P.E. Sensei. “Uhhh...”

“Sensei! I think something happened to Uruha-kun!” Someone from another team shouted.

Everyone looked where the student was pointing. Shun was giving CPR to Uruha. Tora’s eyes widened. They kissed again! This time it wasn’t in private, but in front of everyone. He had to step in and take action.

Everyone rushed over to take a look at what was happening.

P.E. Sensei tried to calm everyone down, “Please don’t crowd around them. Uruha-kun needs air. Shun-kun, please bring Uruha-kun to the infirmary immediately.”

Uruha finally coughed up water, and Shun scooped him up into his arms. Uruha protested that he could walk, but Shun firmly gripped onto Uruha, who had no choice, but to embarrassingly grasp onto Shun’s neck for support.

All the girls swooned. “If only that was me.”

Tora excused himself, “I’m going to go with my team members.”
P.E. Sensei objected, “Wait, Tora-”

Tora sped away as fast as he could, leaving behind a trail of smoke balls.

In the infirmary, the nurse lightly laughed, “Uruha-kun, your mother is going to think the school doesn’t take good care of you.”

Uruha hung his head in embarrassment. He was a man, and his physical stamina was so low.

Now the nurse looked sternly at Uruha, “Have you lost your appetite lately? Your blood sugar is quite low. It’s no wonder you fainted in the pool.”

Shun shook his head. Losing appetite over that idiot was definitely not worth someone’s life.

Tora busted in as the nurse left the room to get some medicine.

He bombarded Uruha with questions, “Are you okay? Did you get hurt? Do you need anything?”

Uruha spotted behind Tora that Shun was leaving the clinic. He didn’t want to be left alone with Tora. Uruha squeezed his eyes shut and flailed his arms, “Help! Tora, stop it! Stop touching me! Ahh!”

Tora tried to grasp onto Uruha’s arms to calm him down, but Uruha was throwing such a fit it was impossible to even get close to him.

Shun had raced back into the clinic only to find a dumbfounded Tora and a scared-looking Uruha. “What game are you guys playing?”

Uruha dashed behind Shun.

Shun dreaded the real situation. He really didn’t want to get caught in between.

Tora pointed at Shun, “I see how this is. First you- first you- did it to Uruha. Now you brainwashed him. I’ll get you. I’ll get you.”

Shun couldn’t comprehend what Tora was saying, “What the hell are you accusing me of?”

Uruha grabbed Shun’s arm and quickly said, “Let’s go, Shun-san. We better tell P.E. Sensei that I’m okay now.”

Tora helplessly watched Uruha latching his hands around Shun’s arm and walking away from him. He could only stand there shaking his finger, which he slowly let hang at his side. His beloved Uruha was being taken away by Shun.

XOXOXOXO

That night, Uruha’s mother pleaded with Uruha. She had been trying for the past hour.

Uruha finished his schoolwork and shut his book. “For the last time, Mom, I’m not going. It’s really boring down there.”

His mother suddenly thought of something, “Oh, Uruha-chan, I just remembered. You really wanted to see that new movie that just came out, right?”

Uruha didn’t respond. He had been planning so many months to go see it together with Tora, but now that was out of the question. Uruha fingered the cover of his textbook. It seemed so long ago since he last had a genuine conversation with Tora.

His mother stuck her face into his, “How about this? I go with you to see it and pay for everything even the snacks you want, and then you come with me tonight to the clinic. Please, please, please?”

Uruha stared at his mother and rolled his eyes. “Fine.”

His mother danced around the room, “Uruha-chan is going with me. Uruha-chan is going with me.”

Uruha’s thoughts drifted to the physical exam earlier. Shun actually asked him for his help, and he understood Shun’s silent message. Uruha curled his lips into a small smile.

His mother grabbed her work bag and called for Uruha to come help her grab some things. They got into the car and drove to the clinic.

XOXOXOXO

Shun finally got off of work. Today was strangely extra busy. Normally there weren’t that many last minute customers, but today they all seemed to be last minute. He didn’t even have time to buy flowers for his mother earlier because the P.E. physical exam lasted longer than it should have. Shun pushed it all out of his mind. His sole focus was to go visit his mother now.

When he arrived at the clinic, he was excited to learn that his mother had been feeling good all day and that she was still awake. He had to control his urge to rush to see her. As usual, he quietly opened her door and softly shut it behind him.

She was humming to herself and brushing her hair as she looked into the mirror on her dresser table.

When their eyes met, she leaped out of her chair and ran over to him, “Welcome back, honey.”

Shun found it sort of strange that his mother would address him so warmly, but he figured it was because she was in a good mood today. She asked him if he wanted anything to drink and he politely declined. She didn’t seem to mind. She invited him to take a seat with her on her bed. He nodded as he sat on the edge. She hopped onto the bed behind him and wrapped her arms around his waist.

She pressed her face against the side of his shoulder and looked up dreamily at him, “Do you love me?”

Shun was taken back. Love? Was his mother starting to remember him? She looked into his eyes and ran her fingers through his hair. She scooted forward and laid her head in his lap. She lovingly stroked his face.

“So handsome.” She giggled.

Shun felt his heart become light. His mother seemed to be recognizing him. “Mom, I-”

“I have a question for you.” His mother cut him off.

Shun nodded for her to continue.

His mother stared at him longingly, “Why did you ever get together with her?”

Shun froze. Suddenly he knew who his mother was seeing in her mind. She thought he was that bastard. Anger started to fill his heart along with all those painful memories. He took in deep breaths to control himself.

His mother sat up with her back faced towards him. He thought about reaching out to her, but stayed silent.

She suddenly turned around and slapped his face hard, “Why can’t you answer me?”

Her eyes were wild with fear and anger. Shun’s heart raced as he tried to think of what he should say. His mother started pounding her little fists against his chest.

He grabbed her wrists to try to stop her from hurting herself, but she lashed out and bit his arm. “Let go of me, you bastard. I know you don’t love me anymore!”

Tears ran down Shun’s face. “Mom, I- I-”

She tried to wriggle out of his grasp. Shun released her hands, afraid that he was hurting her.

“I knew it! I knew it!” Her nails ripped across his cheek as she frantically tried to slap him again.

Shun backed away from her against the closet as she struggled to get off the bed. She fell to the ground with a thud. Shun wanted to run over to her, but the sting on his cheek held him back. He fumbled to push open the closet door and before she could reach him, he locked himself inside. She pounded wildly against the closet door.

“Get out, you bastard. Get out!!!” She screamed.

Shun shut his eyes and rocked back and forth as he hugged his knees. Fear seized his heart, and the tears kept flowing as he told himself that this was only temporary and his mother would calm down.

Uruha and his mother finally arrived.

Nurses ran up to her. “Doctor, quick! Patient in room 159 is losing her stability!”

His mother threw all her belongings on top of Uruha, who toppled to the ground from the sudden heavy cargo.

His mother rushed down the hallway with the nurses and busted into the room. She instructed the nurses to grab the patient and tie her down to sedate her. His mother quickly searched all around the room for the young man. She grabbed one of the nurses aside, “Did a young man come to visit her tonight?”

The nurse nodded, “Yes, there was a young man earlier, but I don’t know where he went.”

His mother noticed small dents on the closet door. She flung it open and found a frightened young man curled up into a ball inside.

“Umm, young man,” she kneeled down and gently shook his shoulders.

She noticed him flinch from her touch and his muscles tightening even further. She began to rub his back. “It’s all right. It’s all right.”

At first, he trembled from her touch, but as she continued rubbing his back, he started to loosen his muscles a little. He finally looked up at her. Impulsively, she hugged him as if he were Uruha.

“It’s okay, dear. Everything’s all right. Let’s go outside now.” Uruha’s mother helped pull him up from the ground and placed a steady hand on his back guiding him towards the door.

Uruha was spying from the edge of the doorway. For a moment, he didn’t even recognize Shun. The Shun he knew at school was so composed and solemn. Right now, Shun looked so frightened and shaken.

“Uruha-chan!” His mother called out to him, “Please tend to this young man’s wounds as I go check on his mother.”

His mother disappeared back into the room. Shun collapsed into a seat that Uruha quickly placed under Shun. Uruha dashed over to the nurse’s station and grabbed a first-aid kit. In seconds, Uruha was back at Shun’s side tending to the wounds inflicted upon his cheek.

It stung, but Shun didn’t care. He couldn’t stop trembling. He suddenly felt really cold. Uruha noticed him shiver and ran back over to the nurse’s station to get a disposable fleece blanket. He ripped the bag open and wrapped it around Shun.

Shun pulled the blanket tighter around him. He was thankful for the aid, even though he didn’t say anything. He couldn’t. His throat felt dry. He kept swallowing back the lump in his throat. Earlier he had to hold back from throwing his arms around the doctor and sobbing in her embrace, but that wasn’t his mother. He couldn’t show his weakness.

Uruha watched with curiosity at how different Shun was behaving compared to his normal demeanor during class. Usually, Shun wouldn’t have so readily accepted such help. But right now, Shun had even let Uruha clean up the wounds on his cheek and bandage them. Uruha wondered what happened inside that room.

“Whew!” Uruha’s mom reappeared into the hallway. A few more nurses were still going in and out of that room finishing their task of taking care of Shun’s mother.

“Young man, are you okay?” Uruha’s mother looked into Shun’s eyes.

Shun slightly nodded and she rubbed both of his arms, “That’s good. Now, do you live alone?”

Shun didn’t know what she was getting at.

“I think it would be best for you to stay over at my house.” She offered.

Shun looked perplexed. Why would he need to do that? He wasn’t exactly a patient.

“Well, that way I can update you on your mother’s status when I get home.” She quickly decided for him. “Uruha-chan, please bring this young man home.”

Shun looked over and glared at Uruha. What was he doing here?

Uruha nervously waved hello. Shun watched him very closely as Uruha approached him.

“May I ask, what is your name?” Uruha’s mother asked Shun.

Shun answered quietly, “Shun.”

Uruha’s mother patted the both of them, “All right, Shun-san. You go home with Uruha-chan now. I’ll see the both of you when I get home. Now, hurry before it really gets too late.”

The whole ride home was very awkward.

XOXOXOXO

Kanon poked Tora, “What flavor would you like, Tora-san?”

Kanon had asked him to go to the new ice cream shop down the street from her house. Tora couldn’t understand what happened during P.E. First, Uruha was being nice to him, then avoiding him. None of it made sense, especially that Shun. Who did he think he was to push him into the pool?

“Tora-san...?” Kanon tugged on his sleeve.

Tora looked over and realized Kanon was talking to him.

He scratched his head in embarrassment, “Sorry, sorry. What did you say?”

Kanon giggled. “I said, what flavor of ice cream would you like, Tora-san?”

Tora looked at the bins of ice cream flavors. He knew which one Uruha would like - cookies & cream and three scoops, to be exact.

“Uhhh... three scoops of cookies & cream.” Tora ordered.

Kanon stammered, “W-w-ow, you eat a lot of ice cream, Tora-san.”

“Nah, it’s for you, Ur- err, Kanon-chan.” Tora blurted.

Kanon blushed and quickly looked away. She was both shocked and happy to hear Tora call her that.

Tora looked at her in confusion, “Kanon-chan, are you okay?”

Kanon looked up at him with warm, glittering eyes and clasped her hand with his, “I’m so happy we are now official.”

To his surprise, Kanon gently kissed him before ordering three cups of cookies & cream for the both of them. Tora robotically paid. They snuggled together at a table in the sitting area. Kanon wanted to feed him, which he didn’t really mind, but somehow when he fed Kanon, it didn’t feel as special as the moments he spent with Uruha.

XOXOXOXO

Uruha and Shun finally arrived at Uruha’s house. He led Shun upstairs to his room. He wondered if any of his clothes would fit Shun. He took out some of the biggest clothes he owned and measured them against Shun’s back. Shun didn’t particularly mind, but he felt weird suddenly going deeper into Uruha’s world. If anything, he wanted to stay out of it.

After measuring a few items of clothing, Uruha folded them and grabbed a clean, fresh towel from his closet. “Here, Shun-san. I think these should fit you. Maybe you want to clean up first?”

Shun hesitantly accepted Uruha’s clothing. He told himself that it was just for one night. Nothing could happen between them to close the gap. Uruha showed Shun to the shower and happily went downstairs. Shun hoped Uruha didn’t have any night activities planned for them. He just wanted to hear what Uruha’s mother had to say about his mother’s condition, and then he would promptly go home.

Shun walked into the bathroom and examined the scars on his face in the mirror as he pulled off the bandages. He cringed when he thought of how quickly his mother went from being sweet to lashing out in a rage - all because she mistook him for that ... bastard. Shun hated his face, but what could he do about it? He was that bastard’s child after all...

Downstairs, Uruha leaned against the kitchen countertop flipping through various cookbooks. He wondered if he should cook a more vegetable heavy dish or maybe something meatier. Uruha puckered his lips as he contemplated what had happened inside that room. Normally at school, Shun barely displayed any other emotion besides sleepiness, but today his face was stricken with fear. Uruha wanted to throw his arms around Shun and hold him tight, but he was afraid Shun wouldn’t like that type of close contact.

Uruha ruffled his hair. Oh, whatever. He would just cook something and see if Shun liked it. Uruha put a pan on the stove and turned on the fire.

Shun finished showering and a nice aroma swirled upstairs that made his stomach grumble a little. His mouth involuntarily watered. Shun kept pulling down his shirt. It exposed a little bit of his stomach, and the pants were a little short as well. Oh well. He ruffled his hair with the towel as he walked down the stairs.

Uruha caught Shun at the bottom of the stairs. He brought over a little plate of one of his dishes over, “Here, Shun, would you like to try some?”

Shun looked at the eggs and tomatoes, “You know I don’t like that stuff.”

Uruha cocked his head to the side and pulled up the towel covering a bit of Shun’s face, “Hmm?”

Shun tugged back on the towel and walked over to the living room. Instinctively, he turned on the television and sat down on the couch.

Uruha wondered which one he didn’t like - the tomatoes or the eggs? Uruha shook his head and scooped a little bit of everything he made. He walked over to the living room and put many little plates on the coffee table in front of Shun. Uruha also put out two bowls of rice and two sets of chopsticks since he was starting to get a little hungry himself. After Uruha brought over everything, he sat crossed-legged in front of Shun on the floor at the coffee table. Shun surveyed all the food.

He imagined himself hearing his ex-lover’s soothing voice.

”Don’t you like what I made...?”

“Well, duh.” he answered out of the blue.

Uruha gave him a strange look. “What did you say?”

Shun grabbed the chopsticks and his bowl of rice. “Nothing.”

He shoved rice into his mouth to hide his embarrassment.

Uruha smiled, “I’m glad you like the food.”

The two of them ate in mostly silence. Uruha would occasionally glance over at Shun. He seemed calmer now and back to his silent self. Uruha wondered if they would ever be able to carry out a more normal conversation. Even though Shun barely spoke a word, he was starting to feel more at ease with Shun than he could with Tora.

Shun kept looking up at the clock wondering when Uruha’s mother would come back home. He was worried about his mother’s condition, even though it would bring back the chills of when she attacked him. She was the only other person left on this earth for him. He would never abandon her, even if she hated him to her last dying days.

Uruha finished eating and cleaned up his plates. “You shouldn’t worry too much. I’m sure your mom is okay.”

Shun passively stared at Uruha.

Uruha met Shun’s eyes. He noticed a hidden sadness buried within his eyes. His heart started to palpitate faster.

Uruha frantically waved his hands, “Oh, I’m saying too much. I’ll bring down a blanket and pillow for you when you finish eating.”

Shun silently watched Uruha run over to the kitchen to put the plates in the sink and leap upstairs. His heart felt a twinge of nostalgia. The only other person who cared for him was...

Shun looked down at his hands. Why was he still thinking about the past that brought nothing but tears and sorrow?

Uruha hummed to himself as he showered. It had been awhile since he had felt this happy.

After a long while, Uruha finally reappeared downstairs, he noticed all the dishes had been cleaned and left on the rack to dry. He smiled when he saw Shun curled up on the couch. He placed the pillow and blanket on the floor and turned off the TV. Uruha gently lifted up Shun’s head and placed the pillow underneath. He pulled the blanket over Shun’s body.

Uruha kneeled on the floor to gaze at Shun’s handsome face. He felt a special connection with Shun, and cherished this rare moment to be so close.

Shun’s eyebrows furrowed and he muttered something incoherent. Uruha instinctively stroked the side of Shun’s face while making a soft “shhhh” sound. A tear rolled down Shun’s cheek. Uruha patted Shun’s cheek to wipe away the tear.

Uruha leaned in closer and impulsively placed a kiss on Shun’s cheek. He couldn’t understand what troubled Shun, but he wished he could find out someday and be able to carry some of that burden off of Shun’s shoulder.

Uruha leaned his head against Shun’s chest as he slid an index finger down Shun’s tall nose. He traced Shun’s soft lips then latched his hands under his cheek. Uruha studied Shun’s mysterious face. When would he be able to… His eyelids grew heavy as Shun faded away.

A/N's

Kudos to misfitmisfit for making the banner of this story.

Yay! Chapter 4 is done. Well, it was done, but misfitmisfit and I decided to revamp some parts to make it better (and more hilarious, lol). Though, I couldn't help myself, but laugh after we finished writing the P.E. scene, xDD;;;

Not much else to say. More is being written so hold on tight for the next installment! :D

Comments and constructive criticisms are always appreciated. ^_^
