She found, after trying to haul Alex up the few stairs in front of the lawn and down the hallways, that her injuries weren't as healed as she had first hoped. In fact, she'd go so far as to say it was a good assumption that she was still bleeding internally, given the way her abdomen felt, straining to pull Alex's weight. And her head was absolutely killing her, if she was honest. Making it to Erik's bedroom was not going to be happening tonight. It was only sheer luck that she happened to remember that Erik's office was just around the corner. She pulled Alex to the door, testing the knob to make sure it was unlocked before she got too excited, sighing with relief when it was. Dragging him just a little farther, she laid him down by the chairs, away enough from the door that he wouldn't get hit with it when Erik came in that morning.
As for Amara, she sat on the floor, propped up against the desk, her head lolling against the wood. She was just so tired and with Alex out, there was no reason for her to maintain awareness. Not really. She tried to keep her eyes open, tried to stay awake until Erik got there, so she could explain. But even her will wasn't enough to fight against the fuzz in her brain, her body sliding down the wood, only her upper shoulders still leaned up against the grain. It would be quite the tableau for Erik in the morning, both of them covered in blood and bruises, Alex decidedly not chained in the basement. She was going to be in such trouble, but she'd at least learned her lesson from last time. She came straight to Erik...or at least his office. If that thought counted for something.
