(no subject)
Well once again, here i am. I ended up taking BART into SF today to goto GAME again. Met some friends from over at EA at the powel station, and we set off to moscone. As i got there, I went down to the guitar hero area to see if anyone was there yet. To my surprise, Ryan Davis was there again and he greeted me and asked if i was gunna be in the little 'competition'that they had set for 9pm. I said sure! First thing i did was wait in line for a t shirt with my friends cause i was bored. While in line, i saw 4 people playing mario kart DS, so i joined in =D I kicked their asses ... By the 5th race, i was not power sliding or using items just so that the game was fair. Got my shirt and then

So at about 8 or so, me and a friend just sat down and chatted at which point i figured i would head over to the main event stage to see if anythingwas starting yet. IT WAS. So i was told to get on stageand they gave me the run down. I played a couple games with Marcus Henderson while they talked and then I was up against the best player at GameSpot. He was actaully decent at the game, but THERE WAS NO SOUND. they were having sound difficulties and neither of us had sound to work with. Now, I can play rhythm games with no sound and still do well, it was obvious he couldnt. I dont think he had a very good time =[ But i chatted with him afterward and he seemed ok. Ended up playing 2 more games (one game where marcus strummed and i buttoned.. that was interesting) And stayed up on stage watching the rest and chatting with the gamespot guys. Was an interesting experience. I heard lots of cheers for my name while i was on stage, but i have no idea who they were. Also got asked a few questions that i wasnt really ready to answer, but i think i did ok.
After that, the boredom commenced agian.... BUT JUST THEN ferrari_iidx was like ... "well hell there" or something to that effect. Chatted with him for a little bit WHEN SUDDENLY FROM OUT OF NOWHERE some random girl that had watched me play guitar hero a couple times came up and started talking to me. RANDOM. She had been drinking and it was painfully obvious on her breath, but IT WAS RANDOM. So finally after she turned around, the conversation of boredom commenced yet again with kevin. My friends showed up and we left.
BART turned out to be not so bad. and i did it mostly on my own =D arent you proud of me? ^^
CONCLUSION: GAME was pretty lame. Id say 3/4 of the people there got in for free, and there honestlywasnt that much to do. =[ Thank god i got in for free =]
