Turning a sow's ear into a silk purse
Tonight I had a trick lined up - so I thought. When I called about 15 min after the agreed on meeting time, the trick acted very nonchalant as he said he had had a hard day and really MEANT to call to cancel.
I shouldn't complain since this happens infrequently, but it nonetheless bothers me that folks make commitments so haphazardly and then are too whatever to even call.
However, the evening turned out better than I could have hoped for. I have been chatting and emailing a really nice(defined here as hot, hairy,handsome, hunky, and polite) fellow in Australia and he had said that he might call soon. He did tonight and the hour we spent chatting was far better than any random piece of ass that might have shown up on my doorstep. Although that particular random piece will not again be invited, I'm am so glad that he didn't show up or I would have missed one of the most enjoyable hours I have spend in quite some time.
