Abu Ghraib
After viewing the latest pictures from Salon about the prisoner abuse at Abu Ghraib, I've changed my mind. I had originally thought that Cheny, Rumsfeld, Fife, et al should be charged for war crimes for creating an atmosphere where these abuses could take place and that the peons should not be held as accountable. But no, they should all go to prison.
These latest photo's and video are obscene. Why anyone would want to take pictures of the dregs of humanity acting out, aka our troops is beyond me. I have a fair collection of S&M video's all of which pale in comparison to these. Our soldiers at the prison are sick, preverted (and not in a good way), and most of all scary. And it pisses me off that this is how the world will see our society for many years to come.
I served two tours of duty in Vietnam, and saw some things that would make your stomach hurt - but at least they were done by the jungle savages, aka Viet Cong. Our soldiers have no excuse but malice
