Disclaimer: I don't own them, wish I did but I don't.
This is another in part of a series that I'm working on slowly but surely. The first was inspired by a video that Derry did, the fic is here I have several more in the series if I can just make myself work on them.
It was one of those cold rainy nights that made you wish you where at home with someone warm to wrap up in bed with but here I am, still at work, eating a cold turkey sandwich for the third day in a row. Since I become a private eye I’ve seen many a spells like this, no cases coming my way, not even Captain Shepard down at the 51st has tossed anything in my direction. Just goes to show that a man’s got to stand on his own two feet.
“I’m going home Radek, don’t work to late.” Rodney said as he waved through the door of the office on his way out. He’s a good guy, a little on the flaky side most of the time but smart, real smart.
So here I sit now, contemplating my money problems of a glass of fresh stilled vodka when there she was standing in my doorway. This broad had it all, legs, curves and best of all, she was here to see me.
“Are you Detective Zelenka?” She asked, her voice breathy from the walk up the stairs.
“That’s what the name on the door says sweetheart. What’s a dame like you doing out on a night like this?” I ask, leaning back in my chair to finish off my last shot of vodka before setting the glass down.
“My name is Elizabeth Weir, and I need your help. My sister has been kidnapped.” She said as she braced a hand on her hip, closing the door behind her.
“Shouldn’t you be going to the cops?” I ask, getting a bad smell about this one already.
“I don’t like cops, I’d rather work with someone that has better… connections.” Now I knew I recognized her name. She was part of that new Family that had set up in town calling themselves Atlantians. They’d been in some scuffles with the long time resident family, the Wraith. If her sister was missing my bet was that the Wraith had her. This could be tricky but it could also pay my bills for the next few months, and get me something other than turkey for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
“Just who do you think has your sister?” I ask, lets see if she gives me anything yet.
Walking around my desk she sat on the edge of it, putting a cigarette to her lips and leaning over for me to light it. Picking up my lighter off the desk I flicked the top and lit it, watching the flame light up her face, this is the kind of woman to look out for. Every bone in my body was telling me to say no to her but can a man really say no when a woman looks at him like that?
“The Wraith, they’ve been dogging everyone in our family for weeks. My sister has been sneaking around with a runner named Ronon. He might have been the last person to see her but she didn’t come home last night.” Crossing her legs she flashed the tops of her lacy thigh heights. What a tease and she knew it. I was screwed, she knew I was going to take the case; I’m such a sucker for brunettes.
“I’m not cheap.” I said, knowing she’d pay.
“I wouldn’t expect you to be. Will you find my sister for me?” She added a light pout to the end of her words, oh she was good.
Standing I leaned closer to her and smirked. “I’ll find your sister, doll, don’t you worry.”
“I knew you’d help me.” Standing she trailed a hand up my tie and gave it a light tug before drawing a card out from between her breasts. “My numbers on the card, keep in touch Dick.
“Oh don’t worry sweetheart, I will.” She leaned up close enough that I could almost taste her lips stick and just when I thought that she was going to pull away, she rocked up on those stiletto heels and k-

Radek sat up with a start, blinking blurry eyed in the dark of his room tangled up in his sheets and still hugging his pillow. That really was the last time he let Rodney mix drinks….
