It's rather old news to everyone else but...
THE WRITER'S STRIKE IS OVER!!!!
I'm so happy to hear that, but I can't seem to find out if or not the writers actually got the extra money that they wanted. Whilst I'm happy it'll mean the TV shows are back, I hope they did get what they wanted, because I totally supported them in their strike action. So, I was wondering if anyone can tell me what was actually agreed??
It also occurs to me that this all happened the day after I went on holiday - that's just so typical that I miss the news we've been waiting for. As for skiing, it went well, not too many of the hiccups that I was worried about, if anything it wasn't me who was annoying others, so I'm happy - and I CAN SKI!!! I fell down two holes into deep snow when we were off-piste, but that was more funny than anything and I skied into a Slovenian woman, which was more painful, but still funny!! Oh yeah, I had the first fall of the week when I fell of the bench trying to put my boots on!!! Oh I rule at that.
My friend's dad, who took us, is so cynical and sarcastic about everything, but he basically made up a whole load of rubbish about me being a Plantation Owner - don't know where it came from, but the joke lasted all week and I just had to play along with it and learn myself retorts for everything. Thus, the sarcasm has rubbed off on me and today, I went to see my geography teacher and he was sarcastic to me and when I quipped back at him and set the whole department into laughter that I'd caught him out! *is probably boasting too much* Still, I can't get over how funny that was.
Anyway, I will post photos when I get them off my camera - Slovenia is so pretty and in the meantime I will try to catch up on Lj's and fic.
