Day 51, early morning, personal quarters/mess hall, attn: Carson, Radek [F]
Rodney slowly surfaced from a dreamless sleep, feeling cold. He grumbled and shifted closer to Carson, wrapping the blanket tighly around him and his lover. With one quick glance at the alarm he noticed it was almost time to get up.
Yawning, he tried to stretch his limbs, which was a little bit difficult with Carson wrapped around him. He contemplated staying in bed for ten more minutes or getting up and taking a shower. His growling stomach made the decision for him. With a sigh he slowly untangled from Carson's arms and legs and tucked the blanket tightly back around the sleeping man. Carson could do with some more minutes of sleep, he decided and reached for the clock, putting the alarm forward.
Carson looked relaxed and peaceful in his sleep. Rodney suppressed the urge to lean down to place a kiss on his cheek, and slowly rose from the bed to head to the bathroom. He took a quick shower and brushed his teeth. When he came back, skin warm and damp, Carson had rolled on his side, sill fast asleep. Rodney quickly dressed, then leaned down over Carson's sleeping form, gently patting his head.
"I love you Carson Beckett," he whispered, then left the quarters to head for the mess hall.
There was nothing like a fresh cup of coffee to start the morning. Besides sex with Carson maybe. But since Carson was out for the count at the moment, he had to do with the second best.
