Carson stood and stretched, taking a quick look in at Radek as he left his lab. There was so much to do, and he was worried for his friend, but now he was starving.

Rodney looked up from his task and tapped his radio.

"Um, yes, sure. Lunch, sounds fabulous. Gimme a minute, okay?"

Carson and food, he thought and looked down at the laptop. There was still so much to do, and to organise while Radek was out of the count. But -- Carson and food.

With a sigh he closed the laptop. Well, this would have to wait for a while. As if to second the idea, his stomach was growling.

Rising from his chair, he looked around. In the far corner of the room someone sat at a console. It was -- he stopped and tried to recall the name. Miko Tsunami, he remembered. "Um, I'll be in the mess for a bit, and um," he awkwardly gestured to the door. Being around her always made him feel really, really uncomfortable. He couldn't exactly tell what it was, because she actually was a good scientist. And regarding to Carson, she worshipped the ground he walked on. And while he liked having people acknowledging his superior brain, this kinda squicked him.

"I'll be back in a bit," he said and gestured to his radio. "Call me if something happens, okay?"
